A highly recommended, although touristy, thing to do is take a dawn boat ride along the river from Dasaswamedh Ghat to Harishchandra Ghat. A walk along the Varanasi ghats is also a fascinating experience (although do be prepared for filth and to be hassled by vendors).Needless to say, Varanasi Ghats are indeed a great human spectacle and they are extremely photogenic. Varanasi is famous for its Paan, and the Morning. The city is also famous for its silk handicrafts, silk sari, silk kurta, embroidered with gold and silver thread work is the specialty. Carpets are crafted here in a nearby place Mirzapur “carpet town’’. So a visit to the market of Varanasi is bonus to curios traveler.
