Daman & Diu two towns situated on the western coast of India surrounded by the Arabian Sea. Daman lies on the Gujrat coast & Diu is an islet in the southern fringe of Kathiawar Peninsula. They both form the second smallest union territory of India.

Daman and Diu were the part of Goa with Dadra and Nagar Haveli, This whole territory was ruled by Portuguese for more than 400 hundred years. On 19 December 1969, this territory was annexed to the Republic of India.
